Best 2022 Shopify Themes For Fashion/Beauty Ecommerce Brands

Choosing a Shopify Theme for your online business is more than just having a nice-looking website. There are several things you should consider when picking the right theme for your brand.

In this post, I tell you exactly what to look out for and I even suggest some amazing templates that I have or would use myself.

When choosing a theme for your website you want to consider a few things:

I. Your Industry

The needs of every industry is different regarding the elements and functionality needed to help a customer purchase a product online. A brand that sells sneakers will definitely have different needs than a brand that sells products for acne. Be sure the theme you choose aligns with the needs of your industry.

II. Catalog Size

Next, its important to understand the needs of your website and theme based on the size of your product catalog. While there is not a concrete number that differentiates a large catalog versus a small catalog, the more products you have on your site you may want to think about using a theme with features to help guide the customer to the products that best meets their needs.

Here are some things to consider:

  • Navigation/Menu Structure - Flyout menus that feature products, images, and allow for the creations of multiple tiers or lists are highly recommended.

  • Advanced Collections Filters - Customers should have the option to filter collections by size, price, color, stock status, or whatever is relevant for your product types.

  • Onsite Search - If you have a lot of products, people are more likely to use site search to find what they want. Make sure your search queries are returning results expected by the customer.

Lastly, design everything with your customer in mind. Really think about what is needed to aid your customer in their shopping journey and choose a theme that best compliments your customer's shopping behavior.

The BEST advice I can give you is to choose a theme that covers the majority of your needs out of the box and requires little to no customization. That will make your life A LOT easier.
